Yamaha YZF R15 V3.0 Review
Various rumors spreading around the web says, Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 ready to launch in India at an approximate price of Rs. 1.5 Lakh. The well upgraded Yamaha R15 version 2.0 launched recently and it was a big success. Yamaha Auto Motors just showcased the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 At Auto Expo Fair.
Engine, Gears and Performance
A powerful v3.0 150 cc engine powers the bike. The engine is described as Single cylinder, 150cc v3.0, petrol engine. It is expected to be churns out 17 bhp power and maximum torque is 16 bhp on ride. The new version gets fuel injection system is used along with remapped ECU. This helps in small increase in the bike’s max power output (18 PS vs 17 PS earlier).
Brakes and Suspension
Safety and stability is well assured in Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 with good braking and suspension. It gets Disc Brakes in front and drum brakes at rear. There is only really minor visual changes on this bike comparing with the previous one. Over all the bike is punchier mid-range, thereby making the bike friendlier to urban usage.
Launch Date, Price and Colors
The bike expected to be launched in India around 2015 starting. Various dealers of Yamaha Motor India suggesting that, the version 3.0 will be priced around same as the current model. With more engine power and new body graphics, hope the R15 can win many more hearts. The 2014 Yamaha YZF R15 V3.0 available in 4 attractive color shades:-

Overall New Features and Options
Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 features New O2 sensor, FID (fast idle mechanism), New fuel pump and New Crank angle sensor and new cam sensor. There is also New Intake air pressure sensor, new intake air temperature sensor and new throttle position sensor and New FI system with new 6 hole injector and injector assembly.
There will be New ECU, New canister air vent and gets Updated DiaSil cylinder head. Engine features New Cylinder head cover, New Coolant reservoir, Automatic decompression, New throttle bodies and Shorter throttle cables.
Further more you can expect Increased Catalyser size (45 mm to 53.5 mm), 2 stage type exhaust, New CR9E spark plug (vs CR8E), New single phase AC Magnet and RR unit and New Rotor assembly. There will be Sealed type fuel tank cap and Fuel tank rollover valve in new version.
