Yamaha SZ-RR Version 2.0 Review
Yamaha SZ-RR Version 2.0 launched in India by Yamaha Motor India. This is a well updated and improved version of Yamaha SZ-RR version 1.0. SZ-RR is one of the best selling model and it is company’s crucial entry-level 150cc motorbike.

Looks and Style
The new model comes with a label of “Version 2.0″ on the body, similar to the other stablemates. It looks hot on external appearance and coming with tubeless tyres, mildly tweaked instrument console, “SZ” logo stuck onto the handlebar holder. The new version available in different color options than the Version 1.0, so that it can be easily distinguished.

Engine, Gears, Mileage and Performance
Technically there is no big diffidence in new version. Powered by 149cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder petrol motor engine. The displacement reduced from 153cc to 149cc and continue with the same power and torque figures.
Engine can churns out 57.3 mm x 57.9 mm bore and stroke. 9.5:1 is the compression ratio. Diamond-type is the frame of Yamaha SZ-RR bike. This low cost sports bike features Air-cooling, Forced-feed, Wet sump Lubrication, CDI (Capacitive Discharge Ignition) Fuel System and Wet, multiple-disc Clutch.
The Yamaha SZ-RR Version 2.0 can churns out 12.1 PS @ 7500 rpm power and 12.8 Nm @ 6000 rpm of peak torque on ride. Torque rpm is slightly higher when comparing with 4500 rpm of earlier version. Engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox for smooth transmission.
No FI But gets Blue Core Technology
Yamaha recently launched new versions of FZ 2.0 and the Fazer 2.0. Both these bike gets fuel-injection technology for more mileage and power. But the Yamaha SZ-RR Version 2.0 gets carburettor only, no fuel injection. The lack of fuel-injection is filled by the use of patented Blue Core technology 11% more frugal than the 153cc power plant found in the older SZ-RR.
Brakes and Suspension
Safety, comfort and convenience options available are good in this bike. Yamaha offers an array of motorcycles, all are well upgraded from time to time based on several customer related promotions to build their brand image. It gets Disc brake (220 mm Hydraulic Disc) at the front, drum brakes (130 mm Drum) at the rear as standard. Suspension used is telescopic front forks and the dual shocks at the back for best class stability on ride.

Features, Options and Dimensions
Alloy Wheels makes this bike further more appealing. Yamaha SZ-RR Version 2.0 gets tubeless tires, 17-inch wheels, MF battery etc. The instrument cluster is fully Analog type.
