2014 Triumph Thunderbird LT Review
Triumph Motorcycles India launched the much awaited Triumph Thunderbird LT at Rs 15.75 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, India. The company is selling good numbers of vehicle in Indian market, and till now they sold 835 motorcycles in India through eight dealerships.
This British motorcycle manufacturer expanding their portfolio by adding Triumph Thunderbird LT cruiser motorcycle. Triumph Tiger 800 XC is one of the current selling famous model in India.
The main rivals for Thunderbird LT cruiser motorcycle are Suzuki M1800R, Harley-Davidson Fat Boy as well as the Indian Scout. These are also highly powerful super bikes with luxury options and all these fall under high price category.
Engine, Gears and Performance
The Indian arm of Triumph Motorcycles, offers LT model and the LT stands for Light Touring. It is packed with a 1699cc Liquidcooled, DOHC, Paralleltwin, 270º firing interval engine. It can offer 107.1mm bore and 94.3mm stroke.
Multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection, progressive linkage on throttle offers high performance. The bikes exhaust is attractive and it is the Chromed twinskin stainless steel 2 into 1 into 2 exhaust system with chrome plated silencers.
Toothed Belt final drive and Wet, multiplate clutch are the other features. Engine mated with 6 speed, helical type 2nd - 6th transmission and features oil capacity of 4.2L. The bike offers 38MPG city gas mileage and 220 miles range.

Suspension used is front is a Showa 47mm forks. 120mm travel and rear gets Showa twin shocks with 5 position adjustable preload. 109mm rear wheel travel type.
