An air force is also known in some countries as an air army, it is the division of a nation’s armed services that is responsible for aerial warfare as distinct from an army, navy, or a marine corps. Air forces are responsible for gaining control of the air, carrying out strategic and tactical bombing missions, and providing support to land and naval forces. Air forces always consist of a combination of fighters, bombers, helicopters, transport planes and other aircraft. Most of the air forces are also responsible for operations of the military space, intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM), and communications equipment and some of them are may command and control other air defence assets such as anti-aircraft artillery, surface-to-air missiles, or anti-ballistic missile warning networks and defensive systems. It operates more than 5,638 aircraft, 450 ICBMs and 63 satellites. The main of  USAF is to preserve the peace and security, and provide for the defense, of the United States, the Territories, Commonwealths, and possessions, and any areas occupied by the United States.

The Russian Air Force is a branch of the Russian Aerospace Forces. The modern Russian Air Force was originally established on the on the 7 May 1992 following Boris Yeltsin’s creation of the Ministry of Defence. Russian Air Force operated 61 air bases, including 26 air bases with tactical aircraft, of which 14 are equipped with fighter aircraft. After the independence, the IAF has been involved in four wars with neighbouring Pakistan and one with the People’s Republic of China. Operation Vijay, Operation Meghdoot, Operation Cactusand Operation Poomalai are other major operations undertaken by the IAF. The Chief of Air Staff, an Air Chief Marshal, is a four-star officer and they commands the Air Force. The IAF gives close air support to the Indian Army troops in the battlefield and it also provides strategic and tactical airlift capabilities. IAF gives infantry and artillery transportations or secondary Airlift for the Indian Army. India has also got the capability to produce their aircrafts certified by Russia creating hundreds of Sukhoi- mk-30 fighter aircrafts. India has the total of 1,080 combat aircrafts.

The Israeli Air Force  “Air and Space Arm” also known as “Air Corps” operates as the aerial warfare branch of the Israel Defense Forces. It was founded on May 28, 1948 after the Independence of Israeil.  They were procured more aircrafts,  including Boeing B-17s, Bristol Beaufighters, de Havilland Mosquitoes and P-51D Mustangs. It has a very large fleet of modern aircrafts  that are specially designed to meet the requirements of IAF.
