Tata Bolt is a powerful upcoming hatchback in India from Tata. The car is expected to launch around October 2014. The car made based on the r X1 platform, Indica Vista hatchback. Tata also launches Tata Zest sedan in coming months. In terms of features and overall design philosophy, the hatchback is good with points to capture buyers.
Engine, Gears and Performance
Powering the Tata Bolt is a 1.2-litre 140bhp petrol powered Revtron engine and 1.3-litre Quadrajet diesel engine. Petrol variants of Tata Bolt cam make 84 @ 5000 power and 140 @ 1750 torque on ride.
Engine mated with five-speed manual as well as an AMT gears transmission. 1.3L Quadrajet diesel engine can churns out 89 @ 4000 power and 200 @ 1750 torque on ride. Hope the Tata Bolt offer powerful performance on roads.
Brakes and Suspension
Tata Bolt gets good brakes and suspension offer. The car packed with Dual Path Independent McPherson strut with Antiroll Bar in front and Semi Independent Twist beam with coil spring at rear. Brakes fitted are front disc and rear drum brakes for added safety and stability on ride.
