On Wednesday Opera announced that they would add a free VPN service to the latest version of its browser. So there is no need to download VPN extensions or pay for VPN subscriptions to access blocked websites and to shield your browsing when on public Wi-Fi. Up to now almost all VPN services and proxy servers have been limited or based on a paid subscription.

VPN contains a number of features include hiding an IP address, unblocking firewalls and websites and protecting sessions at public WiFi hotpots.
Opera’s built-in free VPN service that will offer unlimited data usage as well. To enable the feature you just have to turn on a virtual button in the Settings.The service is currently only available on Opera desktop browsers for developers at the moment and the service lets you switch between three virtual locations, the United States, Canada, and Germany, but should be coming to all users over the next few weeks.
