Hero Splendor Pro Classic with a Cafe Racer made body unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo in February. The appearance of the bike surprised every one because of the stylish looks and design. According to various sources, the bike will launch soon in India and priced Rs. 53,900 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The much awaited Hero Splendor Pro Classic cafe Racer finally, launched silently in India. The bike now available to purchase at an attractive Rs 53,900 (ex Showroom-Delhi). Now, this is the most affordable cafe racer-styled motorcycle in the Indian market.
The cafe racer-styled variant of the Splendor comes with many new features and options. There is prominent round headlamp, with orange indicators and chrome-finished mirrors on each side and split handlebars.
What is Interesting and New in This bike ?
Hero Splendor Pro Classic packed with so many special features and options. It gets attractive retro round headlamps and extending orange indicators. You can see spoke wheels and chrome finish on side mirror for more looks. The Chrome over customary fuel tank & side cowl is appealing. There is also Silencer can, mud guards with chrome garnish and split-looking handlebars and bulge at rear end.
Looks, Style and Design
This is the regular Splendor motorcycle but the design and styling is entirely different. Without a close observation, no one cant identify this is the 100cc regular Splendor motorcycle from Hero. The completely new cafe racer body and fuel efficient engine are the main attractions of this bike.
The motorcycle designed on the Cafe Racer lines. The new handle bar, classic round headlight and taillight, a cafe racer cowl and lots of chrome over front and rear fenders, winkers, suspension cover and the round shaped wing mirrors makes this bike unique in the commuter segment.
Engine, Gears and Performance
Powering the Hero Splendor Pro Classic is the same 97.2 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It can churns out 7.7 bhp of power at 7,000 rpm and 8.04 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm on ride. Engine mated to a four-speed gearbox for smooth transmission. The bike equipped with Tubular Double Cradle Type chassis and Air Cooling engine option.
Hero official website says, the engine makes 8.24 bhp (8.36 PS) at 8,000 rpm and 8.05 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm, but the engine, a single-cylinder 97.2 cc air-cooled unit which is the same in old Splendor. The chassis remain the same. There is a decent dashboard with twin pod instrument panel which offers fuel guage and speedometer.
Technically there is no change in Hero Splendor Pro Classic cafe Racer bike. It is one of the India’s ever best fuele fficient machine. It returns 65 -70 kmpl in highway and 55 -60 kmpl in city on ride. Hero Splendor Pro Classic Cafe Racer is the cheapest cafe racer motorcycle in the world. Royal Enfield Continental GT is the other locally manufactured cafe racer styled motorcycle available in India. Hero Splendor Pro Classic priced above regular Splendor. The Hero Splendor Plus available for Rs 4000 less and Splendor Pro comes for Rs 1000 less than the Classic bike. With this price tag, the bike can please many in rural markets.
Hero Splendor Pro Classic Cafe Racer weighs only, 109 kg, weight is also gets reduced by 3kg. It features a ground clearance of 159 mm. The wheelbase remains to be at 1230mm and seat height gets reduced. Hero Motocorp Splendor Classic Pro Cafe Racer Bike features a 11 litre (usable reserve 1.4 litre) fuel tank – Petrol. The bike measures 1935 mm length, 720 mm width and height of 1020 mm in terms of dimensions.
Brakes and Suspension
There is good suspension and braking option in this bike. You have telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and a swingarm with a 5-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorber at the rear for passenger and rider safety and stability assurance. There is 2.75 x 18 – 42 P/4 PR, Unidirectional tyres at the front where as the rear has a 2.75 x 18 – 48 P/6 PR, Unidirectional tyres too.
